Scott Crabill is a managing partner at Thoma Bravo. Since joining in 2002, he has played a critical role in the firm’s growth and evolution into one of the world’s largest software investors. Scott co-leads the firm's application software investing efforts and currently sits on the boards of ABC Fitness Solutions, Imprivata, J.D. Power, Jeppesen ForeFlight, QAD and RealPage. Over his more than two decades at Thoma Bravo, Scott has served on the boards of over 25 portfolio companies and has led 15 exits.
Beyond his investing work, Scott is deeply committed to philanthropy. In 2018, he and his wife, Angela, co-founded the Crabill Family Foundation, which works to advance equitable access to healthcare, education, housing and the arts in their hometowns of San Francisco, CA, and Springfield, Ohio, as well as other communities close to their hearts. Scott also serves on the board of the California Pacific Medical Center Foundation, the capital-raising arm of Sutter Health in San Francisco.
Scott holds a BS in industrial engineering and an MBA, both from Stanford University, and has remained an active member of the Stanford community throughout his career. He currently serves on the Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Council, where he contributes expertise on strategy and operations. He began his career in corporate finance at Alex. Brown & Sons, before moving into private equity roles at J.H. Whitney and Summit Partners, where he focused on software and technology investments – experience that laid the foundation for his work at Thoma Bravo.
