Stephanie Carey

Stephanie Carey is a senior vice president on the Tax team at Thoma Bravo. Based in Chicago, she joined the firm in 2025 and leads tax compliance and reporting for the firm’s funds and general partner entities. Before Thoma Bravo, Stephanie was executive director of tax at GCM Grosvenor, where she oversaw tax operations across all investment strategies. Previously, she worked at PwC, most recently as a senior manager focused on private equity and other asset management clients. Stephanie is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Notre Dame.
