Kunal Soni is a Partner on the Credit team at Thoma Bravo. Based in Miami, Kunal joined in 2025 to expand and scale the Thoma Bravo Credit platform, bringing more than 20 years of experience in private credit. Previously, he was as a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where he served as Head of U.S. Direct Lending – Western Region, Head of U.S. Direct Lending Technology and as a member of the Executive Team for the U.S. Direct Lending strategy, as well as the Private Credit Investment Committees. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Kunal was Head of the Western Region and Head of the Technology vertical for The Carlyle Group’s Direct Lending platform. He previously held various senior roles in the private credit industry. Earlier in his career, Kunal worked in the Investment Banking Division at J.P. Morgan and in the Audit and Transaction Services Group at KPMG LLP. He earned his BA from Emory University.
