Eric Effinger

Eric Effinger is a strategy associate for Carl Thoma. Based in Dallas, he joined the firm in 2025. Eric's professional experience covers software investing, investment banking, and transaction accounting. Before joining Thoma Bravo, he was a senior associate with Recurring Capital Partners, investing in growth-stage enterprise software businesses. Previously, he was an analyst at District Capital Partners, a SaaS-focused buy-side investment bank and advisory firm. He started his career as an associate in PwC's Deals practice, where he provided capital markets and accounting advisory solutions to clients. Eric holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a licensed CPA.
