Thoma Bravo named to GrowthCap's list of Top Private Equity Firms of 2026

For the fifth year in a row, GrowthCap has named Thoma Bravo to its list of Top Private Equity Firms of 2026.

Over the past twelve months, the private equity industry has entered a more demanding period. Capital is more discerning, exit timing fluctuates and buyers are taking a harder look at the businesses they acquire. At the same time, artificial intelligence is changing how companies operate and, in some cases, reshaping what makes a business valuable.

The firms recognized on this year's list are true partners to their portfolio companies, bringing strong leadership, deep sector expertise, and a willingness to do the hard work of building better businesses. That work happens alongside management. It means making thoughtful investments, building strong teams, improving operations, pursuing growth with discipline, and making difficult decisions when circumstances change. The firms that excel are not waiting for the market to create value for them. They are helping their portfolio companies create it.

“We’re proud to be recognized as one of GrowthCap’s Top Private Equity Firms of the Year for the fifth year in a row. This award is a testament to the trust placed in us by the management teams and founders we’ve had the privilege of working with. We remain committed to building and maintaining the close relationships that drive outstanding outcomes.”  – Holden Spaht, Managing Partner
