Private Credit Financing Supporting Thoma Bravo’s Digital Aviation Solutions Acquisition from Boeing Wins IFR Award

The private credit financing supporting Thoma Bravo’s acquisition of portions of Boeing’s Digital Aviation Solutions business, including its Jeppesen and ForeFlight assets, has been recognized with the North America Private Credit Loan award at the IFR Awards 2025. The award honors the "marquee financing" that supported the transaction.

The US$4.2 billion private credit financing was recognized by IFR for its scale, structure, and certainty of execution amid heightened market volatility. The award highlights the transaction as "a benchmark for large-scale direct lending," underscoring how private credit can deliver flexible, reliable capital to support complex acquisitions when traditional markets are constrained.

The financing supported Thoma Bravo’s acquisition of portions of Boeing’s Digital Aviation Solutions business, two of which combined and are now operating as a new digital aviation entity, Jeppesen ForeFlight. The financing was noted by IFR as a defining example of private credit’s growing role in enabling transformational M&A in challenging market conditions.
